Published by Ian under Games, General News

Ghost Recon 2001 Storyline
Eastern Europe, 2008
The world teeters on the brink of war. Radical ultranationalists have seized power in Moscow - their goal, the reestablishment of the old Soviet empire. Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan - one by onne the nearby independent republics slip back into the Russian orbit. Russian tanks sit in the Caucasus Mountains and the Baltic forests, poised to strike to the south and east. The world hold ots breath, and waits.
For one small group of elite soldiers, the war has already begun: U.S. Special Forces Group 5, First Battalion, D Company. Deployed on peacekeping duty to the Republic of Georgia in the Caucasus, this handful of Green Berets represents the very tip of the spear - the first line of defense. Equipped with the latest battlefield technology, and trained in the latest techniques of covert warfare, they strike - swiftly, silently, and invisibly.
They call themselves “The Ghosts”

How to make an XBox 360 laptop

Published by Dom under Games, Hacking, Technology

xbox-mobile

This is nice. There’s a how-to on how to convert an xbox 360 into a laptop at Engadet. The Nintendo DS sucks now. Shoot, add 3G, and I won’t even want a new iPhone. The same gentleman, Benjamin Heckendorn, also recently posted about converting a PS3 into a laptop.

Wii Gaming Deemed Not Real Exercise

Published by Dom under Entertainment, Games, Medical, Technology

Yeah I wish

From the bursting bubbles department, a new study finds the Wii isn’t real exercise. No one tell the wives, please. But, I don’t know if I completely believe their findings, because they say Wii Sports tennis is more strenuous then the boxing game.

$1800 in Video Cards Still Doesn’t Max Crysis

Published by Ian under Games, Technology

We know Crysis is all about the high end, pushing the PC platform to its max. But I had no idea it went this far.

We know Crysis is all about the high end, pushing the PC platform to its max. But I had no idea it went this far. PC Games Hardware magazine created a beefy system with NVIDIA’s latest and greatest video card…err…video cards. Their brand new Triple SLI, a combination of three NVIDIA geforce 8800s, should make short work of any PC game on the planet. But it couldn’t crush Crysis. Running on “very high” settings, the system reached a respectable (but far from mind-blowing) 37.9 FPS. In the words of a Gizmodo staffer, “I don’t know how they developed it!” In the words of this Kotaku staffer, “If you can’t see a game’s graphics on one of the world’s most powerful consumer setups, they don’t actually exist yet.”

Published by Ian under Games, Technology

(CNET.com <– See Video) — If you grew up with a Nintendo Entertainment System in your house, then you no doubt remember the Zapper, the gray (or bright orange) light gun that let you shoot at ducks, bull’s-eyes, and banditos. After almost 20 years, Nintendo has brought the Zapper, at least in name, to the Nintendo Wii. It’s available in stores today for just $20, and it includes a free game, Link’s Crossbow Training.  Read More Here
