DVRupgrade.com Saved My Tivo Series 1!

A few months ago my Tivo series 1 hard drive crashed.   It was purchased in 2001 with a 10 gig drive and a lifetime subscription (which Tivo does not offer anymore).  Spinrite v6 could not fix the drive and it was almost impossible to find a series 1 Tivo image on the internet.  I eventually ran across someone on a message board that had success with DVRupgrade.com.  The web page claimed to be able to upgrade my Philips HDR212 (second model created) to 1034 hours (dual 400 gig drives) with a self-installation replacement kit.  I ordered the 312 hour (250 gig drive) with a cache card (speeds up menus) and was able to install it in one hour when it arrived!  It looks like we are back in action for another six years.
